When a client reports an auto claim, it is immediately assigned to a field appraiser in the appropriate geographic location. Once on site, the appraiser inspects the damage, gathers necessary photographs and documents any additional details.

Industry-leading contractor network
Sedgwick has built a network of more than 1,000 independent auto appraisers across the United States. The requirements for the appraisers in our network include the following:
- Minimum requirements – 1099 with tax ID, InsuraState license (if applicable) and state license (if applicable)
- Preferred requirements (mandatory in most locations) – ASE and I-CAR certifications, a minimum of three years in business and a minimum of five years of experience
